Copyright

Only music you own or have the rights to belongs on The Bridge. If something here is yours and shouldn’t be, tell us and we’ll take it down. If something of yours was taken down by mistake, you can answer.

Version 2026-10-29

1. Report a copyright problem

The quickest way: tap Report copyright on the track or beat. You’ll be asked for:

  • The work you own (a title, and a link if it’s online).
  • Your name and how to reach you.
  • A statement that you believe in good faith the use isn’t authorised, and that what you’ve said is accurate and — under penalty of perjury — that you own the rights or are allowed to act for whoever does.
  • Your signature (typing your full name counts).

We take the track or beat down while we look, and tell the person who uploaded it.

2. Our DMCA agent

You can also send a notice to our designated agent:

  • Name: to be filled in by The Bridge
  • Address: to be filled in by The Bridge
  • Email: to be filled in by The Bridge
  • Registration with the U.S. Copyright Office: pending

3. If your work was taken down

You’ll get a notification with a link to answer. A counter-notice needs:

  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you believe in good faith it was taken down by mistake or misidentification.
  • Your name and contact details, and that you agree to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your address (or, outside the U.S., any place The Bridge may be found), and to accept service from whoever reported it.
  • Your signature (typing your full name counts).

We pass it to the person who reported it. If they don’t tell us within 10 to 14 business days that they’ve gone to court, we put your work back up.

4. Repeat problems

Accounts that are repeatedly reported for copyright, with the reports upheld, are closed. Reporting someone falsely or in bad faith is itself against the Code of Conduct, and can carry legal liability.
