Terms of Service
Last updated: TO FILL: date
Draft, pending legal review.
These terms are not yet in force and nothing here creates an agreement between you and The Bridge. Items still to be settled are marked like this. Two things are live and accurate today: the AI policy in section 14, and the platform fee in section 2, which is read from the code that charges the card.
These terms apply to everyone who uses The Bridge, including artists, DJs, producers, videographers and anyone who scans a QR code or sends a gratuity. They cover everything you do through the platform, including meetups, sessions and events arranged here. By using The Bridge, you agree to them.
Accounts
- One person, one account. Use your real artist or DJ identity, not someone else's.
- You pick a main account type at sign-up; it sets up your dashboard and tools. You can add more roles to your profile — Artist, DJ, Producer and the rest — any time in Edit profile.
- You're responsible for everything that happens on your account. Keep your login secure.
- You must be 18 or older to have an account, and you confirm it when you sign up. We refuse anyone under 13 outright, and remove any account we learn belongs to someone under 18.
- Everyone on The Bridge follows the Code of Conduct.
Fees & Payments
- The Bridge takes a platform fee of 10% on spins, Live song requests and Collaborate, and 5% on studio and engineering sessions, videographers and photographers, venue bookings, event tickets, beat sales and paid requests.
- Every platform fee is capped at $10.00 per transaction. A booking pays it once, even when it pays a studio and an engineer.
- Gratuity goes 100% to the recipient. No platform fee.
- Collab revision fees go 100% to the featured artist. No platform fee.
- Service fee. Every checkout — deals, bookings, beats, press kits and cover exports — adds a service fee that covers card processing: the amount Stripe charges to process the card (2.9% + 30¢), worked out on the total so that the processing is covered in full. It is paid by the customer, shown on its own line before you pay, and applies on every account, including accounts with a reduced or waived platform fee.
- If a buyer cancels, the service fee is non-refundable: the card was processed, and Stripe does not return its fee. If the seller cancels, it is refunded with everything else.
- When you're paid pending attorney review
- Spins. The artist's payment is held until the spin is confirmed, then paid to the DJ the Friday after the week of the show (a week runs Monday to Sunday, so a weekend show is paid in five to seven days). There is always at least 24 hours after the confirmation to raise a problem, and an open dispute pauses the payout until The Bridge decides.
- Beats. The licence is the buyer's straight away, and the producer is paid the moment the sale goes through. The buyer can report a problem from their Library within 24 hours. If The Bridge refunds a sale, that payout is taken back from the producer — never paid by The Bridge — and producers agree to this when they list a beat.
- An exclusive licence is final sale, and the buyer agrees to that before paying. It is refunded only if the files were never delivered or are broken, or the beat was not the producer's to sell. A beat confirmed as not the producer's to sell is taken down and their account is reviewed.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. The Bridge never sees or stores your full card number.
Bookings
- A booking is a session at an agreed time and price: studio hours, a mix, a master, a shoot, a photoshoot, or a studio room — on its own or with an engineer who works there.
- The platform fee on a booking is 5% capped at $10.00, charged once on the whole booking. A booking that pays a studio and an engineer is still one fee, split between them in proportion to what each is owed.
- A session arranged off the platform is owed no fee. The fee applies only to money that runs through The Bridge.
- Providers publish their own rates and their own availability. Nothing is bookable until they set hours, so an empty calendar means not available rather than available by default.
- A request holds the slot and gives the provider 48 hours to accept, decline or send a price. After that it expires and the slot is released. Nothing is charged while a request is open.
- Deposits. pending attorney review You pay in full when you book, and The Bridge holds it. Part of it is the deposit: one hour's rate for a booking by the hour, or 25% of a flat fee. 12 hours before the session the deposit is secured for the provider; it unlocks to them after the session.
- After the session: when you confirm, the provider is paid in full. If nobody does anything, it is confirmed 24 hours after the session ends.
- Contact details are exchanged when the booking is paid for, and not before. Accepting a request is not enough.
- If you cancel more than 12 hours before the session, the booking is refunded in full. The service fee is not, because Stripe does not return its processing fee.
- If you cancel within 12 hours, or don't show up, the provider keeps the deposit and the rest is refunded. They held the time and turned other work away. Where a booking pays a studio and an engineer, the deposit is split between them as the booking was.
- If the provider cancels or doesn't show up, you are refunded in full, deposit and service fee included, whenever it happens. Repeated cancellations by a provider are treated the same way repeated DJ no-shows are, and can lead to suspension.
- A no-show is reported from the booking. It pauses the payout, and The Bridge decides which of the two applies.
- Revisions. The provider decides how many revisions are included in the price, including none at all, and the number is shown on their page before you book. Anything beyond that is a new booking at a price you both agree.
- Delivery and disputes. You have until the booking is confirmed — 24 hours after the session ends — to raise a dispute, which must say what was agreed and what was not delivered. The Bridge reviews it against the booking message, the provider's listed services and the delivered work, and decides within 7 days.
- Nothing delivered: full refund. Delivered but not what was booked: up to 50% back. Delivered as booked: the provider is paid in full.
- What isn't a dispute. The video underperforming. The song not taking off. Changing your mind after the shoot. Not liking how you look or sound. The mix not matching what you imagined. Finding someone cheaper afterwards. A delayed release. These are outcomes and opinions, not undelivered work.
- A booked slot is unavailable to everyone else from the moment the request is made, and becomes available again the moment it is declined, withdrawn, expired or cancelled.
- Studio rooms are listed by the people who run the studio. A studio page added by an engineer, and not yet claimed and verified, cannot sell room time — only the engineers on it can be booked.
- Studio and venue accounts are verified by The Bridge before they go live.
- What The Bridge is, and is not. The Bridge is a place to find, book and pay people. It is not a party to the work. Providers are responsible for what they advertise and what they deliver; artists are responsible for the briefs they write. The Bridge is not liable for misuse of a service or for a provider misrepresenting what they offer. The dispute process above and removal of an account are the extent of its involvement. pending attorney review
Offers nobody answers
- An offer, counter or request nobody answers for 30 days expires: a spin offer, a booking or Collaborate request, a work request, or an invitation to an event's lineup.
- Both sides are told 3 days before, and again when it goes. An expired one is deleted with its messages; the sender can send a fresh one any time.
- Money is never lost this way: if anything was paid, it's refunded in full and the payment record is kept.
Events, venues, promoters and your calendar
- Anyone can post an event. An event page is public, with its address. If the address looks like a home, you'll be asked to confirm it can be public before it goes up.
- Nobody appears on a lineup until they accept. Someone not on The Bridge can be listed by name only.
- Each address has one venue page. Anyone can add a venue that isn't here yet; it's marked unclaimed and shows who added it, and it shows no booking contact until the venue claims it. Claims are checked by a person before a page is handed over.
- Venue and promoter accounts run their own pages and events. A venue page's owner has the say over the events at its address.
- Your calendar is private. If your account takes bookings, others are told only that you're busy — only while booking you or adding you to an event, and only for the next 30 days. Your private calendar link can be turned off or replaced any time.
- Fake, duplicate or misleading events and venue pages are removed.
Spins
- A DJ can accept or decline any spin request.
- Once a DJ accepts a deal, it can't be deleted or hidden. It can only be cancelled, which refunds the artist.
- DJs who repeatedly cancel accepted deals may receive a warning or suspension.
Spin Proof
- Proof video must include the song's audio playing, ideally with the DJ introducing the record to the crowd.
- Fake, edited or reused footage results in a permanent ban after admin review. One strike.
Crowd Ratings (Rating QR)
- One vote per person per spin, and one rating per phone on a rating page.
- Anyone with an account can make a QR rating page for something they made. One page a day is free, for up to 20 ratings; more pages are shown with their price before you buy. A spin's QR is always included with the spin. Pages and plans you bought before these tiers keep what they were sold with.
- Voting on your own song, or getting others to stuff votes, is a violation and can lead to suspension.
Live: Song Requests, Gratuity and Set Pages
- Profane, explicit, harmful or threatening messages aren’t tolerated at any Bridge event. Messages are screened before they are sent. A DJ can block a guest for the night and report them, and reported guests may be barred from Bridge events.
- A song request only holds the amount on your card. You are charged only if the DJ accepts. If they decline, or the set ends first, the hold is released — and no hold is kept longer than 12 hours.
- On an accepted request The Bridge takes its platform fee of 10% capped at $10.00 from what the DJ receives. Gratuity goes to the DJ in full, with no platform fee. The service fee for card processing applies to both and is shown before you pay.
- Guests need no account. We keep no guest name, email or phone number; card details go to Stripe and never reach us. Each phone is known only by a random key it makes, so you can see your own requests and nobody else can see them.
- Money for accepted requests and gratuity is held by The Bridge until the set has ended and a further 24 hours have passed, and is then paid to the DJ. If a DJ accepts a request and does not play it, report it within that window: accepted requests that were not played are refunded in full before the DJ is paid.
- Set pages that are not part of a spin use the same QR pages as rating pages; prices are shown before you buy. A spin's QR is included with it. Estimated reach counts phones that scanned or rated, and is an estimate, not a head count.
Collaborations
- pending attorney review Before paying, the featured artist sets the terms — the price, what they deliver, how many revisions are included, and the price of another — and the requester agrees to exactly those, which are saved with the payment. Both agree: “Feature clearances, splits and agreements are handled between us before any release. The Bridge only provides the platform and reviews disputes; it isn’t a party to this deal.”
- When the featured artist submits the audio and the stems (which both can open and download), half of their payment is paid to them. The requester then has 72 hours: if they approve, or say nothing, the other half is paid. If they're not satisfied, the other half is refunded to them — and they lose the right to release the feature. Releasing it anyway is between them and the artist and could lead to legal action.
- If the featured artist never submits, the requester is refunded in full. Changes after the recording are agreed and paid separately. The Bridge doesn't guarantee either party's satisfaction.
- Extra revisions are a separate payment at the featured artist's price (at least $25), with no platform fee.
- Tracks shared for a collab are private between the two people involved.
- In-person or in-studio sessions require both people to agree to our safety rules first.
Disputes & Chargebacks
- If something goes wrong with a deal, report it. The Bridge reviews disputes using the deal record, messages and proof.
- If a chargeback succeeds, the recipient's payout and the platform fee are returned.
- Filing a chargeback after a proven, legitimate spin or delivery counts as payment fraud.
Fraud & Scams
- Payment fraud, scams or attempts to cheat other members result in a permanent ban and possible legal action.
- We don't appreciate scammers. These rules exist to protect artists and DJs alike.
Music Ownership, Covers & Remixes
- Covers, remixes and edits are welcome.
- Anything that isn't fully your original work must be labeled with the original title and original artist, including features. Example: “Hotline Bling (Remix) — Call Me Sy! · Original by Drake”
- You are solely responsible for having the rights to anything you upload. The Bridge is not liable for claims by original rights holders.
- If we receive a copyright notice about a track, it will be removed.
- Unlabeled covers, remixes or uploads of someone else's music get one warning. A second offense results in a ban.
- Copyright notices and counter-notices: see Copyright (DMCA agent: TO FILL: DMCA agent name and address).
AI Policy
The Bridge does not allow AI-generated music.
Uploading AI-generated content may result in track removal and account suspension.
Every artist confirms at upload: “I confirm this track was created by human artists and does not contain AI-generated vocals, beats, or instrumentation.” That confirmation is recorded against the track.
Press Kits (EPK) & Paid Tools
- EPK downloads cost $1.99 per single and $4.99 per album. Singles include a hero photo, background, artwork, a 30-second preview and one music video. Albums use the album cover as the header and include a 12-photo gallery, 30-second previews of each song and up to six music videos. EPK purchases have no platform fee; the service fee for card processing is added at checkout. Early members may have free allowances.
- The version of your EPK shown on your profile hides your contact info and shows socials only. Bookings and deals go through The Bridge.
- Refunds on paid tools: to be decided.
Community Conduct
- No bullying, harassment, threats, hate, racism or discrimination of any kind.
- We judge conduct, not genre. Hard themes and diss records are welcome. Real threats against someone's safety, family or location are not.
- No impersonation, fake accounts or spam.
Meeting Up Safely
- Get to know someone on The Bridge first. Check their profile, verified spins and history.
- Meet for the first time somewhere public or commercial, like a venue, a public studio or a café. Move to a private session only once you both feel comfortable and trust each other.

- No weapons at any event, session or meetup arranged through The Bridge.
- If you're in danger, call 911 first, then report it to us.
Reporting & Enforcement
- Anyone can report a profile, message or interaction. Include any evidence you have.
- Reports are reviewed by The Bridge. Accounts may be suspended while a report is reviewed.
- Outcomes: warning, suspension or termination, depending on what happened.
- Weapons or violence connected to anything arranged through the platform results in termination after review.
- If an account is removed for a safety violation, venues and DJs who worked with that person through The Bridge may be told the account was removed for a safety violation, without details.
- Knowingly false reports are a violation.
- Appeals: a restricted account can appeal from its dashboard, and a person at The Bridge reviews it. While the review is open the account stays restricted. Appeal within 7 days. You can also email TO FILL: support email.
